DIGITAL SAMPLER / DELAY
DS-2
JAPANESE MADE
The sound of classic '80s Boss pedals is still in demand, and the DSD-2 Digital Delay Sampler pedal is no exception. Though it was made for a very brief period from 1985 - 1986, the DSD-2 remains a staple in many rigs. While the sampler section is only capable of recording 800mS, very short by today's standards, that didn't stop a number of players from leveraging this new scaled down sampler technology to create great textures. This compliment to the other Boss digital delays of the era uses the same delay chip as the famed DD-2 for crisp decays.

The HF-2 is combining the original signal with a delayed signal that is shifted one octave up to create a flanging effect a bit different but still similar to the BF-2. The effect is brighter and cleaner than the BF-2. The HF-2 may not be as powerful as the BF-2, but for hi frequency flanging it produces a very good result.

The PH-1 is a 4 stage phaser covering a 16 sec. to 100 msec range. It was released together with the OD-1 and SP-1 as the first 3 Boss compact pedals. The phaser attempts to emulate a rotating speaker like the Hammond Leslie cabinets that were very popular among Hammond players in the 60's,70's and 80's. With the added settings on an electronic version the users were able to dial in tones that a real rotating speaker could never achieve. Hand,

Vintage analog delay pedals have made a comeback in a big way and the iconic Boss DM-2 leads the pack. CARL MARTIN
DeLaya
VINTAGE STYLE
ECHO
with box and manual
The Carl Martin DeLayla was designed and developed with one goal in mind: To create a superior analogue delay pedal, incorporating some of the same features used in vintage tape delay units. To achieve this, we have incorporated a second delay tap (similar to using two heads simultaneously on a tape delay).
The TAP footswitch is used to turn the second tap on or off.
The TAP knob controls the mix of main delay vs. second tap delay.
Clockwise movement favours the second tap; counter clockwise favours the main delay.
The result is warm, smooth sound reminiscent of the vintage tape units used in the 50’s and 60’s.
The DeLayla is able to capture one of the hardest sounds: that authentic rock ‘n roll slapback echo that digital processors are unable to emulate.
