 This guitar first arrived in Australia as a cherry SG (we believe.?) although internally still looks to be original as it would be very difficult to sand it in there.? Please use your best judgement.
From what we've been told that is, but the owner didn't seem to like the cherry and stripped into the walnut look.
This was done professionally and looks the part, but again we must say it looks original to us.??
The neck is a slim type which feels fast when playing and the frets do have wear but are original and the rosewood board is still in great condition as are the block inlays.
This guitar wasn't used too much and as such looks to be in great condition.
The headstock has a white line painted (again very well done, would not be suprised if it was ordered from the factory with this.? ) around it to give it that more 'presence' and the tuners are Grover deluxe newer ones as is the Gibson abr-1 bridge.
It seems the original owner liked everything to have that new finish/shine etc.
The pots are changed as well and seem to be late 69 as well and look in newish 'shiney' condition.
Original tuners (double ring) and original pots, cap, jack are included in the sale.
Pickguard and tuners are the real deal and are marked 'patend number'.
Overall, in EXC. condition, plays great, sounds like Angus and comes with it's original aussie delivered case.
