JUST ARRIVED: 
THE GIBSON 1978 SILVERBURST LES PAUL CUSTOM, IF YOUR AN ADAM JONES 'TOOL' FAN, YOU CANT GO PAST THIS..!
 
WOW, What can I say, a stunning example of a classic collectable Les Paul Silverburst and from the 'First Year' of issue, 1978.
This one features thier classic silver and black combination on the front and back and in one of the back pics you can really see the silver, but the front gives off that classic very slight greenish vintage hue.
It has the ebony fretboard with block inlays and the frets are in great condition, headstock has the split diamond logo, tuners are original etc, no breaks with a small volute.
Pickups: the neck is the original and stamped may 78, reads 7.3kohm's the bridge is a Seymour Duncan SC-M being S for Seymour, C for custom wound, and M for Martha Cameron, one of Seymours legendary early winders and highly regarded.
note, pickup rings are aftermarket, originals in case.

Magnet: Ceramic Bar Magnet
DC Resistance: Typically around 14k Ohms, reads (13.2 kohm's)
Wiring: 4-conductor cable, allowing for coil-splitting and advanced wiring
Tone: Tight lows, punchy and muscular upper-mids, and an airy top end.
 
This previous owner had changed it in the early 80's to give the bridge pickup more of a bite, to which it certainly does.
And for those who are ADAM JONES from the band  'TOOL' fans, you all know that his 1979 Silverburst also features a Seymour Duncan in the bridge position.
 
Overall you can see by the pics that this guitar is in EXCELLENT.++ condition, it looks great, it feels great, but sounds, well..?...AMAZING.
A legendary guitar, so whether you're a professional, a collector, or you just love Les Pauls, you can't go wrong with your investment in this stunning guitar.
CASE: It does have it's original chain saw case, but one of the latches is completely broken, so we put it in a new Gator brown and pink lined case for now, but this is available etc.
