Purchase Policy

To HOLD any item for up to 30 days, we require a 25% deposit, refundable as non-transferable online store credit ONLY.
There Will Be NO Refunds on Items Held For Over 24 Hrs.
All Guitars come with a '24' Hour Approval Period from the time they are delivered. 
All Amps, Effects and Keyboards sales are Final.
All Amplifier Purchases made by credit card must have the same shipping and billing address.

Return Policy Shipped and Non-Shipped Items

SHIPPED ITEMS
Any Guitar Returns must be authorised by the store.
Guitars returned within the 24-hour approval period are refunded in full, MINUS shipping charges.
Shipping fee's are Non-Refundable
Instrument must be returned in same condition as shipped.
Amplifiers and Effects are Non-Returnable and Non-Refundable.
Buyer is responsible for the instrument during approval period.
Shipping and related expenses are Non-Refundable.
Buyer pays for prompt return shipping.
Item must be shipped back via a service comparable with which it was delivered, immediately upon return authorisation.
NON-SHIPPED ITEMS
ie: Items delivered personally by Ric or any staff of 'RVG'* in the Perth metro area.
Where you, the purchaser have had the opportunity to inspect the item and have personally deemed that it meets all your needs and requirements before purchasing said item, these items are NOT covered by the 24 hour Return and or Refund policy of the store, as such all sales are final.

Shipping Policy

Accepted Answer

Orders will ship only after payment is received in FULL.
For guitars and basses, we offer Allied Express and Startrack shipping anywhere in Australia for a flat rate of $155 aud.

No 'Overseas Shipping*' except to New Zealand, same conditions as above but at flat rate of $650 aud. * Or by arrangement only.

Amplifiers and Keyboards we do not ship in general.
What we suggest is that you contact Pack & Send packing services directly and deal with them.
We will deliver to Pack & Send for you at no cost.
For Amplifiers and Keyboard all sales are final and any difficulties that you may encounter with shipping shall be between you and your assigned shipper not Rics Vintage Guitars.

Orders placed during Monday to Fridays shall in general be packed within 48 hr's and shipping shall take place when either shipper picks up. These details are beyond our control and lye directly with the shipper as does shipping times.

Shipping within Australia

Accepted Answer

We ship with either Allied or Startrack, as such delivery takes approx. 7 to 14 days for domestic shipping. Faster Service via Air Freight, including overnight, is available upon request.
Currently we do not ship internationally* ( * by arrangement only )
All Shipping and Related Costs are at the 'expense of the buyer'
Amplifier and Keyboard shipping can be done but through a third party shipper such as Pack & Send' and this is organised by you, the purchaser. As such, any and all claims are the responsibility of the buyer through their choice of shipper.
When shipping instruments to us, if you are not familiar with shipping requirements & procedures, call Ric for proper packing instructions.

Laybuy Policy

All Sales Final on Laybuy Purchases. No Returns/No Exceptions!!
20% Minimum Down Payment Required.
Down payment is Refundable as non-transferable store credit only.
Balance must be paid off within 42 days.
There is 'No 24 Hour Approval Period' on Laybuys.

Orders By Credit Card, Pay I.D. and PayPal

We presently accept Visa, and MasterCard through our e-commerce webstore.
DO NOT e-mail your credit card number to us!
We do accept payments to our Pay I.D. service, the number for payment is

We do accept PayPal payments in Australia, just send us your registered PayPal address and we’ll send you an invoice which will include an additional 4% charge to cover PayPal fees. 
For international PayPal payments send us your registered PayPal email address and we’ll send you an invoice which will include an additional 8% for PayPal fees and international exchange rate charges by PayPal.

Trade your guitar as purchased

Accepted Answer

If you’ve previously bought a guitar from Rics Vintage Guitars, we’ll give you a 100%* trade in value of the price you paid for your guitar if you buy another guitar from us at ‘double’ or more of the price you originally paid.
As example: if you’ve paid $3000 for a guitar and you wish to trade it in, you will receive $3000* towards you next purchase if that purchase exceeds $6000 or more.

* the guitar your trading in must be in the same condition as when purchased from us, ‘no‘ what we deem as significant damage, no changed parts, all original as when you purchased it and in the same condition as when purchased and subject to a physical inspection by us.
