JUST ARRIVED: GIBSON 1985 EXPLORER BASS, One for the rocker or metal bassist, or even a collector..? 
 
This is one very cool bass from the mid 80's, the Explorer by Gibson, not commonly seen, as of listing we haven't seen another one for sale either here in Aus. or the rest of the world, why you ask, well there just a desirable bass, as the Gibson Flying V basses are.
 
With new Gibson basses over 4k now in Aus, you have to ask yourself, what's going to be the best player and where am I going to get the best value for your hard earned cash.?
Well, here it is, a stunning Ferrari Red Explorer, original condition (does have brass nut though) all electrics are original, pickups a Gibson embossed, pots are 13784, Gibson bad ass style bridge, chrome Gibson tuners are all original and the neck is solid with no breaks.
Case is also original but does show a lot of wear.
Overall a very nice bass, has just gone through our luthiers hands and has had the full treatment including new GHS Boomers strings of 45 to 105.
Frets are in great condition as is the fretboard, tuners are in Exc. condition as well.
It plays and sounds as good as it looks, and you can view a couple of video's on YouTube where you can hear Exp. basses.
