JUST ARRIVED:  GIBSON SG CUSTOM 1975 With Mods
 
Here is a rock guitar for sure, the SG CUSTOM from 1975 has been modified sometime in the late 70's with three DI MARZIO SUPER DISTORTION pickups and yes it does sound fantastic.
Pots appear original and at one stage there was a mini switch installed but we have removed that as it was non functional anyway.
The fretboard is ebony and has the block inlays, split diamond on the headstock and frets are the thinner smaller kind so typical of the era, so in the future you might want to change them.
The headstock does have a repair, which my luthier did some 20 years ago as we sold this guitar then, and after 20 years it's still in excellent repair state, so no problems there.
Finish is the walnut and it has a couple of small dings here and there, but nothing significant.
The 3 pickups are double creme and two double black, pick guard has slotted screws instead of Phillips ones, but that makes no difference at all to this cool SG. Tremelo is the Gibson one of the era and is original to the guitar.
So, overall although a headstock repair and three Di Marzio's it's a screaming guitar and you're gonna love it.
Case is a new Gator one done in the Gibson style.
